How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 4 years.      

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

I first got involved with Special Olympics to meet new people and make new friends. I have done both!

What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?

I have overcome my shyness and have gained self confidence.

What other sports do you participate in?

I also participate in Floorball.   

What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?

Special Olympics has taught me to be a team player.  

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am most looking forward to playing other teams from across Canada.

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

My favourite Special Olympics moment was winning a gold medal at Provincial Games in Greenwood.

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

That I have reached my goal to be able to go to the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games 2026!
