How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been involved with Special Olympics for 17 years.  

Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?

My first involvement was while I was working at the PGA of Canada in 2008. I began collaborating with Tom Davies from Special Olympics Canada to develop NCCP coaching modules for Special Olympics Golf in Canada. Being a part of the incredible SO family - athletes, coaches, parents, staff, volunteers - and developing all these new friendships has been life-changing, to say the least!

What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?

I am most looking forward to watching our PEI Athletes shine on the national stage!

What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?

Being a part of Team PEI on many occasions, both at the provincial and national levels - all very special moments!

What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?

It means a great deal being able to represent PEI at the national level alongside an incredible team of Athletes, Coaches, and Mission Staff!
