How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 2 years.
Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?
I got involved because I want to play a sport and I grew up in a family that played softball.
What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?
Having confidence in myself. I feel much more confident in my ability to do certain tasks.
What other sports do you participate in?
I sometime participate in Disc Golf outside of Special Olympics.
What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?
Participating in Special Olympics has taught me how to be a team player, what it means to be a part of a team, and having confidence in myself.
What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?
I am looking forward to playing other teams and getting the opportunity to travel.
What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?
Finding out that I made Team PEI 2026 to go to the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat, Alberta!
What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?
That I have showed I have worked hard to get here. I am dedicated to the sport and being a team play. It means a lot to me to be a part of a team of people who enjoy the sport of softball as much as I do.
