How many years have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been a Special Olympics athlete for 24 years.
Why did you first get involved with Special Olympics and how has it changed your life?
I got involved when it was suggested by teachers in high school.
What is a challenge or barrier that you have overcome?
A barrier I have overcome is having confidence to try new things.
What other sports do you participate in?
I also participate in Floor Hockey and Community Sport.
What has participating in Special Olympics taught you?
Participating in Special Olympics has taught me that I can do different sports through listening to coaches.
What are you most looking forward to at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games?
I am looking forward to having fun with friends and playing softball.
What is your favourite Special Olympics moment?
My favourite Special Olympics moment competing at the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2011 in Greece on Special Olympics Team Canada. It was hot but fun!
What does being a part of Team PEI 2026 mean to you?
To me it means being part of a group of friends representing PEI and having fun playing softball.
