5-Pin Bowling

Athletes rolls a bowling ball down a wooden or synthetic lane with the objective of scoring points by knocking down as many pins as possible. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

Active Start

Active Start is designed for athletes aged 2 to 6 years. Children learn basic motor skills in small groups, helping them to grow in a non-competitive environment and become more confident in their movements. 

Basketball

Athletes begin by learning to handle the ball and keep it under control while dribbling. Additional skill development is given for shooting, passing, and defense. Athletes then learn game strategy to play 5 a side games. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

 

Cross Country Ski

Athletes propel themselves across snow-covered terrain using skis and poles. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

Curling

Athletes, working as a team, slide heavy granite stones towards a circular target called a house. The object is to get your team's stones closer to the centre of the house s your opponent's stones. This program offers support for fundamental movement skills, sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting, and optional opportunities to explore competition.

Drop In Swim

Athletes have access to the pool, under the supervision of the lifeguard, for an open swim. If additional support is required, individuals are invited to coordinate this and attend with a caregiver/staff. No lessons or coaching are provided, and there are no volunteers assigned to this program.

Figure Skating

Athletes, either as individuals, pairs, or groups, perform spins, jumps, footwork and other intricate and challenging moves on ice skates. This is not a learn-to-skate program. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition. Figure skating is offered in partnership with local clubs.

Fitness Programs

Fitness programs consist of a workout that includes various fitness activities led by a trained instructor. The goal is to provide an opportunity to be physically active in a fun, supportive, and social environment.

Floor Ball

Floorball is a team sport played 3v3. It has similarities to both field hockey, soccer, and ice hockey. It is played with a plastic stick and a plastic hollow ball with holes. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

FUNdamentals

FUNdamentals is designed for athletes aged 7-12 years. Children are taught basic sport motor skills in a fun, non-competitive, atmosphere.  

Multi-Sport

These programs offer a specific sport for a short time period of time and then change the focus after a few weeks / months.  This program offers support for fundamental movement skills and sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting.

Powerlifting

Athletes learn the proper technic for deadlifts, squats or bench press. Every athlete aims in lifting more weights than the opponent. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation. Individuals or teams of competitors (from 2 to 6 people) manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus: rope, clubs, hoop, ball, ribbon and Free (no apparatus, so called "floor routine"). This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

Swimming (Competitive)

Athletes learn different swimming skills and strokes to prepare to compete in either short sprints, longer events or relays. This is not a learn to swim program, and athletes must be able to swim 25m unassisted to be able to sign-up for this program.

Snowshoe

Athletes run / walk over snow wearing snowshoes (a lightweight frame attached to a boot), which allows them ease of movement over snow without sinking in. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

Speed Skating

Athletes race on ice skates around an oval track to travel a set distance in the fastest time. Athletes must have basic skating skills as this is not a learn-to-skate program. This program offers support for sport-specific skill development in a recreational setting and optional opportunities to explore competition.

Walking

Outdoor walking programs where athletes go for a walk together are a great low-impact opportunity for athletes to be active and social.
