Biography:
Four years ago, 17-year-old Tia from Englefield was still wearing a life jacket. Today, she is part of the Special Olympics Canada Swim Team for the Special Olympics World Summer Games, Abu Dhabi 2019. Tia won a Gold, two Silver and two Bronze medals at the National Games and two Silver and two Bronze medals at the Provincial Games. Both Tia’s parents coach soccer for Special Olympics. Tia is very proud to be a member of Team Canada and her goal is to win a medal. In her spare time, Tia loves to cuddle cats.
