Biography:

Desiree hails from Orillia, ON and has been involved with Special Olympics for the past six years. She loves competing and can’t decide which sport she loves most: track and field, soccer, swimming, or alpine. Desiree has won three Silver and one Bronze for track, and four Silver and one Bronze in swimming at the Provincial level. She won Bronze, Silver and Gold at National Games. 2019 will be her first World Games and her goal is to place in the 1500m. Desiree’s mother is also involved with Special Olympics as a volunteer with the bowling team. In her spare time, Desiree enjoys cross-country running and walking her dogs.
