Biography:

31-year-old Manon is from Clerval, Québec and has been involved with Special Olympics for10 years. She participates in running, crossfit and bowling. Manon has won medals at the Regional, Provincial and National Games in Bowling and at the Regional and Provincial Games in Powerlifting. 2019 will be her first World Games. Manon says that Special Olympics has allowed her to grow and realize the benefits that sport brings her in terms of her health, new friends and discovering new cities and cultures. Manon has recently overcome her fear of airplanes and is excited to be travelling to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Manon says that attending the World Games shows her that she can go beyond her limits, that we are all people who can accomplish great things for our country. A dream can always come true, if you just believe it. Manon’s goals are to win medals for Canada, learn about a new culture and the people who live there, and make new friends. Manon likes to listen to music, draw, paint and practice cabinetmaking.
