Onboarding Volunteers: How to Convert Joiners to Stayers to Leaders

Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time
Location: Virtual on Zoom (Register here)

About the virtual seminar:
Commitment is a process, not a destination, so you can’t afford to leave your new volunteer onboarding process to chance.

In this 60-minute online seminar, you will learn how to:
•    Map the new volunteer journey to discover hidden needs that, when fulfilled, propel momentum.
•    Supply meaningful supports that build confidence and reduce the time lag between recruitment and active service.
•    Save time by automating part (if not all) of your onboarding process to build relationships while you sleep.
•    Bake in pathways that help pique the interest of high potentials for future leadership roles.

You will get:
•    Volunteer Onboarding Strategy Workbook
•    Slide Thumbnails for Notetaking

Let’s make sure your new volunteers stick by employing a purposeful and strategic onboarding system that results in high satisfaction and intent to stay!

About the presenter, Tobi Johnson, MA, CVA:
Tobi Johnson is an internationally sought-after expert, consultant, and expert trainer in volunteer engagement and leadership. She is known for her modern, highly practical evidence-based strategies, and innovative, “big hat” thinking around engaging, supporting, and acknowledging the work of volunteers.
She is the President of Tobi Johnson & Associates, a consulting firm whose mission is to help nonprofits make connections with remarkable volunteers. In 2015, she founded VolunteerPro, an online training and networking community for leaders of volunteers. She is host of the Volunteer Nation Podcast and is currently working on a book for volunteers who lead.

Who can attend:
All current committee members are welcome to join!
We highly recommend having at least one representative from each Local committee participate in this workshop and bring some ideas to your next committee meeting.

Come join us on November 6, 2024, and get inspired! Registration will close at 4:00 p.m. PT on November 4, 2024.

NOTE: The recording will be available upon request due to the presenter's requirements.
