How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I have been involved for 19 years. I started 5 pin bowling in 2002 when I was nine years old.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

I have learned to eat and exercise properly. I have learned many life skill. I have gained the confidence to speak in public and try new things.

How have you been preparing yourself for competition?

I train five days a week and my goal is to do my best with the hopes of winning a medal.

What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?

The most recent challenge I have overcome is training during COVID-19, as my sport programs shut down, gyms shut down and I had to train alone and without my fellow athletes.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Representing Canada in Austria in 2017 and being selected to participate in the World Games in Russia.

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

It is an honour and a life long dream to represent my country and to get to meet and compete against athletes from around the world.
