How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been participating in Special Olympics for 16 years and I did my first competition in 2005!
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
It taught me a lot in terms of independence and socialization skills.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I train 4 to 5 times a week on-ice and then another 3 times off-ice and my goal is to improve my timing, edges in the short program, and full rotation in the long program. I do all this training with pleasure and a smile!
What is the biggest challenge you have overcome in your life?
To have successfully completed the Heroes' course and the 5-kilometer Torch Run.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
To have participated in the Rock the Rink show with both Special Olympics athletes and Olympians.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
It will allow me to live another beautiful, unforgettable adventure. I could not imagine my life without being part of the Special Olympics family!
