How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?

I started in track and field when I was 10 years old.

How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?

I have met a lot more people. I have more friends and more people to help me become a better me.

How have you been preparing yourself for competition?

I train five days a week. My goal is to be a better me. I want to get in better shape and feel better in my body and feel stronger.

What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?

At 14 years old I had a Tracheostomy and was in a wheel chair. Now I am Trach free and out of the wheel chair and snow shoeing is part of my plan to stay out of that wheel chair.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

All of my accomplishments. Not just medals, but accomplishing my goals and learning more and more about myself and others.

What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?

Special Olympics means we are ALL Special! We can ALL matter. Attending World Games is ecstatic!! I am getting to help my team to represent our country! I am going to get to cheer on others and have them help encourage me to be better.
