How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been involved with Special Olympics since 1997.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
Being part of the Special Olympics community has made me feel included, valued and has given me great opportunities.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I am training a minimum three times a week.
What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?
My biggest challenge has been with overcoming my epilepsy and learning to manage it.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my opportunity to represent Canada.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
Special Olympics provides me the feeling that I can accomplish more than I and others ever thought I could. I am looking forward to the World Games and making new friends, learning about another culture and having the best time!
