Shed Raffle Fundraiser a Huge Success for Special Olympics PEI

    This year's Shed Raffle / $10,000 Cash Fundraiser was another tremendous success! Following a busy summer of sales, Special Olympics PEI was thrilled to accept a cheque for $27,965 from the Evangeline ATV Club!

    Now in our forth year of partnership, the Shed Raffle is an important fundraiser for both Special Olympics PEI and the Evangeline ATV Club. Here at Special Olympics, funds are used to support grassroots sports programs in communities across the Island. Additionally, these funds support Athlete Leadership and inclusive health opportunities for our athletes. The Evangeline ATV Club uses their share of the funds to support trail maintenance and development. Funds raised are split evenly between the two organizations.

    Fundraisers like the Shed Raffle are incredibly important to Special Olympics PEI. We are honoured for the opportunity to once again partner with the Evangeline AT Club. This is a tremendous partnership, and one that truly benefits both organizations. These funds will have a significant impact in enriching the lives of our athletes

    This year's Shed Raffle fundraiser was sponsored by Island Portable Buildings, Kennedy Metals, MacLellan Electric, Arsenault Family Lumber and North Rustico Home Hardware. 

    A sincere thank you to all of our members who sold tickets and who volunteered to sell tickets at a table over the summer. Fundraisers of this size simply wouldn't be possible without the support of our members!

    Thank you as well to the various locations who sold tickets, including: Sobeys West Royalty, Sobeys Charlottetown, Sobeys Stratford, Sobeys Montague, Moe's Grocer, Dennis Motors, Wellington Service Station, Cook's Convenience, and Wellington Co-Op. 

    Additionally, thank you to all of the Corporate Sponsors who purchased $500 worth of tickets. 

    Congratulations to the grand prize winner of the Building Raffle or $10,000, Marie Claire Gallant! And congratulations too to the winner of the BBQ, donated by Kent Building Supplies in Summerside, Marion Stewart.
