Meet Board Member, Kristin Noonan

    Kristin Noonan joined Special Olympics PEI's Board of Directors in 2022 and serves as a Director at Large. With over a decade of professional experience in the National Sport System at Sport Law, Softball Canada, and the Canadian Deaf Sports Association, where she attended both Summer and Winter Deaflympic Games, Kristin brings a wealth of knowledge to Special Olympics PEI's Board. Kristin currently works with the Provincial Government in AccessAbility Supports, helping individuals living with a disability access the tools and supports they need to reduce barriers and reach their full potential.

    Kristin joined Special Olympics PEI's Board of Directors because of her experience and passion for advocacy. As a past teacher, with a strong sport background, Kristin has always enjoyed working with students and athletes with a disability.

    When asked about her favourite Special Olympics moment, Kristin shared:

    I love seeing the athletes’ faces light up with pride, and how competitive they are. Whether participating alongside in fun events, or cheering from the sideline in competition, you can’t help but have a smile on your face, and feel the passion and energy surround you.
