Our bowling program featured a performance station on hydration this week. Capitalizing on the success of our hydration performance station last spring which saw our athletes experiment and try different types of hydration options including flavoured and sparkling water, we wanted to bring the importance of hydration back to our athletes.
All Special Olympics NWT programs are pop and caffeine free and what better way to support our athlete choices than to provide them with a water bottle!
By drinking out of the same or similar water bottle each day, athletes are able to consistently and consciously try to maintain their hydration levels day after day.
Replacing the water athletes lose in their programs and everyday life through sweat, helps them stay healthy, hydrated and perform at their best.
