October 30, 2025

On October 21st, our staff were on Parliament Hill, where 65+ Special Olympics athletes, coaches, volunteers and staff from across the country met with Members of Parliament, Senators and public servants for Hill Day 2025 - our national day of thanks and advocacy.

We were lucky enough to meet with Gina Wilson, Deputy Minister of Indigenous Services Canada and Rebecca Alty, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs of Canada, sharing stories of impact, celebrating the Government of Canada’s longstanding support, and advancing a shared vision for a future where every Canadian with an intellectual or developmental disability can thrive.

From expanding inclusive health services to strengthening Indigenous-focused programming, our goal is simple: to build a healthier, more inclusive Canada for everyone.

Because when everyone gets the chance to play, we all win.
