    Global Week of Inclusion

What does Inclusion mean to you?

July 20-26 is the 2026 Global Week of Inclusion

What is Global Week of Inclusion?

Global Week of Inclusion is a week dedicated to actions and conversations to help create a world where all people are included.

Canadians with intellectual and developmental disabilities are still too often left out—on playgrounds, in the workforce, and from the conversations that shape our communities. But inclusion doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people, organizations, and communities choose to lead.

Together, we can break down barriers and empower Canada’s more than 800,000 individuals with an intellectual disability. No one deserves to be left on the sidelines. We can create a better tomorrow when we #ChooseToInclude today.

    How You Can Take Part:

    1. Sign the Pledge
Show your commitment to an inclusive Canada. Add your name to the #ChooseToInclude pledge
    2. Share That You #ChooseToInclude
Make your own “I #ChooseToInclude” sign, snap a photo, and share it on social media. Encourage your friends and family to do the same!
    3. Download Graphics for Social Sharing
Looking for something easy to post? We’ve created downloadable graphics you can share on your social channels to spread the message of inclusion.
    4. Nominate a Champion of Inclusion                                                                   Know someone breaking barriers and leading the way? Celebrate them! Nominate an athlete, coach, volunteer, or community leader who is helping to build a more inclusive Canada.
