How long have you been involved with Special Olympics?
I have been involved with Special Olympics for 11 years.
How is your life different since joining Special Olympics?
It gets me out exercising and keeping fit. It has helped build self confidence and rewards me for all my hard work.
How have you been preparing yourself for competition?
I train at least 3 times a week. I am trying get my timings lower for my distances.
What is the biggest challenge you've overcome in your life?
Learning to walk. Very early in my life my parents were told I would never walk.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am proud of my performance in Thunder Bay at Nationals.
What does Special Olympics and attending World Games mean to you?
One word describes it for me – awesome!
