Special Olympics NL Gander Wings Athlete Jamie Steele saying "Thanks" to the Knights of Columbus for their continuing support of Special Olympics, Saturday, April 27th, 2019 during the Knights of Columbus State Dinner in Gander, NL.
Jamie just recently completed the Athlete Speaker Workshop while he attending the NL Athlete Leadership Summit! There Jamie along with his mentor learned the skills required to no only write a speech but how to deliver one. He put his newly learned skills to work and did an amazing job at the Knights of Columbus State Dinner.
Special Olympics NL Gander Wings Athlete Tammy Parrott showed off her leadership skills by singing Oh Canada to open the banquet and The Ode to Newfoundland to close it. Athlete Johnny Philpott attended this night of festivities along with Gander Wings Committee Members, Marg Byrd and Pam Blackwood.
