2020 Athlete Leadership Summit
Friday April 24th - Sunday April 26th
Emmanuel Convention Centre (10 Junction Road, Route 340 - Lewisporte)
We are bringing athlete leaders and mentors together from across the province to participate in our second annual NL Athlete Leadership Summit! Athletes and leaders will receiving training in a number of workshops through the Athlete Leadership Program.
Friday April 24th we will begin with ice breakers, introduction to the Athlete Leadership Program and of course have some fun!!!
Saturday April 25th We will be offering 2 workshops, Athletes would choose 1
1) Athletes on Committees and Input Councils
2) Athletes Using Power Point (Athlete must bring own laptop with Power Point installed (PC preferred), if not available please let us know as we may have a laptop available to borrow for the workshop)
Saturday Evening Social Activity TBD
Sunday April 26th we will finish up the workshops and wrap up the weekend!

How to participate?
REGISTRATION DEADLINE March 31st, 2020 - This will be done on a first come first serve basis until all spaces ARE full each club will be given the opportunity to register 2 Athletes/2 Mentors.
Please check with your local Club Coordinator for full details and how to get involved! SONL will cover the cost of accommodations and meals for athletes and mentors participating. Travel will be on the expense of the club. We suggest reaching out to neighboring clubs to share travel costs!

Our vision is to have a trained Special Oylmpics athlete in Athlete Leadership Programs in each club across the region by the end of 2020. We also want to form a Provincial Athlete Leadership Input Council in our province!
