When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I joined 11 years ago through a friend of mine. 

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No. I competed in the National Winter Games in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, for figure skating in pairs.   

What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I won all golds. I was really excited to be skating with Marc Theriault. 

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?

I feel really excited to be a part of the team. 

What is your goal for these National Games?

I want to win and get first place.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

A sense of freedom to do my very best. 

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

I like being with my friends. 

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date? 

Pairs skating with Marc Theriault in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.  

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved? 

If you are feeling lonely or not accepted, Special Olympics is a great way to make friends and a new loving community. 

What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?

Skiing.

I'm enthusiastic and love to learn new skills.
