When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

2017 - became a Community Development Coordinator.

Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)?

National Summer Games 2018.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?

It is amazing to be able to share and support the athletes hard work and watch their successes happen.

What is/are your goal(s) for these National Games?

My goal is to make sure my team feels that they are supported and have what they need to get things done.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

My first Provincial Games in 2017 - walking into the Opening Ceremony and feeling the hype in the air from all the athletes.

What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general)

The athletes are excited and nervous - for some this is a new experience.

What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?

Being active for life and introducing sport to someone who may not always get the opportunity will change you and them.
