When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
Was involved with Special Olympics during the 2015 speed skating season.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games were you part of and in what role(s)?
Yes this will be my first National Games!
What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?
I am so honoured to have been selected to represent SO Team BC 2024.
What is/are your goal(s) for these National Games?
Help the SO Team BC 2024 athletes compete at their highest level and to learn from my coaching peers.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
Track and field meets have always been a favorite experience for me as I get to watch all the hard work each athlete puts in during training and then get to see them perform their best at the meets against other athletes.
What does competing at National Games mean to your athletes? (or, if this is your first National Games, competition in general)
I believe the athletes wants to perform well and represent SO Team BC well too!
What storylines are you excited to see develop in your SO Team BC sport team leading up to the National Games?
No matter what challenges each athlete goes through in their daily lives, they can do it!
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
Watch any Special Olympics competition to get inspired and be involved!
