When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
My mom took me to a floor hockey session to let me see and try the sport. It was an amazing and fun tryout of the sport. I asked my mom to register me in that sport so I could come and play with the other athletes. Since then, I've been with Special Olympics playing in various sports alongside my brother and forming great friendships.
Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
No, I was on the softball team at National Games in 2013.
What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?
My team won a gold medal for first place in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games. I felt my performance was the best effort that I put in.
What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?
Being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024 means there are many opportunities for me to develop further sports skills, build upon confidence and meet new people to become a well-rounded athlete and individual.
What is your goal for these National Games?
My goal for these National Games is to be a better athlete through the skills and new social interactions.
What does competing at National Games mean to you?
Competing at National Games means an experience that's filled with various ways to better myself physically and socially.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I like the excitement and challenges of the sport I will compete in at National Games.
What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?
I would tell someone to give Special Olympics a try and pick a sport that interests them.

I'm an ice hockey enthusiast.
