When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

Joined the speed skating program over 20 years ago recommended by a friend.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

No. I went to St. Albert, Alberta and Thunder Bay, Ontario, for speed skating.

What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I was happy with three bronze (500m, 777m, 333m) and one silver in 1000m. I was happy with my results and aim to skate even better at National Games!

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?

A great opportunity to represent SO Team BC and do my best.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To train hard and to achieve personal best in all of my races.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

A chance to represent B.C., and inspire and encourage my teammates.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Always learning new skills to become a better skater.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

It's a great way to make new friends and have fun.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I like to ride snowmobiles, ATVs, listen to music and have fun with friends and family.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

 Active.
