When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
Started in junior high.
Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Went to National Games in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020.
What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?
We did good, but there were better teams.
What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?
Means a lot.
What is your goal for these National Games?
Have fun with my friends and try to get cold.
What does competing at National Games mean to you?
Play the sport I like to play and have fun with friends.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
Playing hockey and playing with lots of friends of mine from the province.
What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?
Come, give it a try you’ll like it just like the way I did.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I am the kind of person who likes to help out other people and be a role model for my five kids.
