When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I was involved in Special Olympics in Alberta for four years after I got my diagnosis. In B.C., I started Special Olympics in 2016.
Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
This will be my first National Games
What were your results in the 2023 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?
We got first place in Division B floor hockey and I felt my performance was good.
What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2024?
I’m very proud to represent Mission SO Floor hockey at Nationals in 2024.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To be my best and perform good.
What does competing at National Games mean to you?
It’s a hallmark of my sports career.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
The feeling of my teammates being determined to show their performance and best in floor hockey.
What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?
Special Olympics is a place where someone can get their confidence and opportunity to participate in a team.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I like sports and that’s why I play so many different sports like basketball soccer floor hockey and softball.
