Special Olympics BC wants to make sure our programs are safe and happy places for all participants. To help with this, we have developed a workshop that brings together athletes and coaches to talk about bullying and share solutions to encourage inclusion. Participants get the tools to help identify and address harmful scenarios in their daily lives.
While some of our in-person programs remain paused, we have developed a virtual version of this workshop in order to continue to promote safe sport culture! The workshop will also discuss online activities, hoping to help everyone stay safe in the increasing number of online conversations.
The next virtual safe sport workshop will be hosted via Zoom on September 16 at 6 p.m. PT.
This workshop is open to all athletes, coaches, and volunteers!
The workshop has limited capacity, so please contact SOBC Community Development Coordinator Melainie Hatt ASAP at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot!
