Being inclusive is incredibly important to Special Olympics BC as we try to create an inclusive environment for all our athletes and volunteers. Understanding the importance of pronouns is very key to making our programs inclusive to all. In this session, participants will review the foundational concepts of gender, sexuality, and gender identity so they can incorporate the use of pronouns in a respectful way in their day-to-day lives. They will also gain a greater appreciation of the key importance of pronouns to being inclusive of persons who are gender and sexually diverse.
