When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

When I was around 18 years old.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

This is my first National Games.

What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

We won all of our games!  It was amazing. We worked hard.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?

It was exciting to be chosen to represent B.C.

What is your goal for these National Games?

To be the best that we can be and enjoy the competition.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

I feel proud to be a part of something bigger.

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

It reminds me of being a professional hockey player, which was my dream.

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

In Vernon, B.C., the team did fantastic and I got a hat trick.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

You will make new friends. Put your mind to it, set a goal and try it, you never know what will happen.

What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?

Basketball, soccer, softball, and floor hockey.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I am a hard worker. I love to go to work out at the Rec Centre and I work for Canucks Sports and Entertainment. I love to cook, hang out with my friends and have fun. I like to spend time with my family and go on vacations, watching movies, sports and I like to go to my church on Sunday.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Leader.
