When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?

I joined six years ago after I was encouraged by my friends to try something new.

Will these be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, which other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?

Yes!

What were your results in the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games? How did you feel about your performance?

I got a bronze medal in the team competition. I did my absolute best even though being under the weather.

What does it mean to you to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020?

Excited and honoured to be part of Special Olympics Team BC 2020!

What is your goal for these National Games?

Receiving a medal and making new friends.

What does competing at National Games mean to you?

Competing at National Games is very exciting for me!

What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?

Bowling relaxes me and it is a whole lot of fun!

What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?

Competing at the SOBC Winter Provincial Games in Vernon.

What would you tell someone about Special Olympics to encourage them to get involved?

It is a lot of fun being with your friends and you get to make new ones.

What other Special Olympics sports do you participate in?

10-pin bowling, rhythmic gymnastics, and Club Fit.

Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?

I'm easy to get along with, though a little shy at first. I enjoy music and reading and I have a fear of heights.

What is one word you would use to describe yourself? :)

Spirited.
