About the SOBC Classic

The annual SOBC Classic is committed to providing an outstanding on-course experience for guests, and building opportunities and inclusive communities for athletes with intellectual disabilities.

SOBC Classic golfers are treated to a top-quality experience, with the finest in food, tee gifts, and unforgettable experiences with Special Olympics athletes. After a day of play and on-course activities, the evening wrap party brings together the teams to enjoy prizing, auctions, and stories of how their support changes lives with Special Olympics BC’s year-round sport, youth, and health programs.

For too many athletes, Special Olympics BC programs are the only place where they feel included and seen for their abilities. The SOBC Classic is your opportunity to help create empowering connections, open hearts and minds to inclusion, and break down barriers in 55 communities throughout the province.

Funds raised at the SOBC Classic empower athletes with intellectual disabilities to gain confidence, acceptance, and pride through sport.

We are extremely grateful to the organizing committee, incredible supporters, generous donors, and esteemed guests who make a difference through the SOBC Classic.

"We have individuals, we have businesses, we have our athletes out there – and it is absolutely wonderful. What brings people together more than caring about people in the community?"
-Michael Campbell, SOBC Director & SOBC Classic Chairman

Your Impact

As the mother of two successful Special Olympics BC – Vancouver athletes, Coralyn Siytangco knows the power of SOBC programs and the enduring impact of your support. “Special Olympics is a safe environment where our children are included and feel valued. It’s a place where they can be themselves, where the focus is their ability – not their disability. Not only did we find sports programs in Special Olympics, we found a community."
