The Larry Gibson Memorial Fun Walk-Run is an annual event in memory of a beloved Special Olympics Alberta-Camrose volunteer who passed away on April 25, 2017. The goal is to raise awareness and to help raise funds for local Special Olympics Alberta - Camrose sports programs.
Due to Covid-19, we will all be walking/running individually again. Participants will walk/run anytime between May 1st and May 4th in any location they choose, respecting physical distancing.
There are 2 distance options:
3km walk/run = approx. 4,000 steps
9km walk/run = approx 12,000 steps
Wear a mask, physical distance, remember Larry, and HAVE FUN!
You can collect donations online or complete a pledge sheet.
You can drop off completed pledge sheets /donations at Carol Wideman's, 216 Parkridge Close, confirm drop off by calling/texting 780.608.0715
ALL DONATIONS $25.00 or more receive a tax receipt. Cheques can be made payable to: Special Olympics Camrose.
