Canada Summer Games: 8 Special Olympics Saskatchewan athletes to compete

The Canada Summer Games are being held in Winnipeg July 27-August 13th. The games will be the largest multi-sport event for young athletes in Canada this year and will be celebrating its 50th anniversary alongside Canada's 150th Birthday!

Team Sask is sending a full roster of competitive athletes in a variety of sports - including eight Special Olympics Saskatchewan athletes. Competing in athletics we will see Bradyn Giraudier and Kyle Giraudier run the men's 100m and 200m. Stephanie Reitmeier and Addison Czaya-Woolly will compete in the same events in the women's division. Along with their coaching staff Sarah Klimm and Ben Lozinsky, the athletes are ready to race and are sure to leave it all on the track.

Over at the Pan Am Pool, Janae Ruetz, Lindsay Reimer, Jordan Vassel, and Tyler Piercy-Servant will all be hitting the deck for five races: 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 100m Backstroke, and 50m Breaststroke. Jackie Powell and Stephen Neiszner will be at the pool coaching the four athletes to do their best.

We are so incredibly proud of all the Saskatchewan athletes who have worked so hard to get where they are today. We wish them all the best of luck over the next two weeks.
