Special Olympics PEI would like to acknowledge and thank the Knights of Columbus for their ongoing support of Islanders with an intellectual disability. The Knights of Columbus are a supporter of the Special Olympics movement on an international scale. Locally, the various Knights of Columbus Councils support Special Olympics PEI in numerous ways, raising funds and through volunteerism.
The PEI Knights of Columbus recently donated $1,000 to Special Olympics PEI at their Annual State Banquet in Palmer Road. Special Olympics PEI athlete Janet Charchuk (picture right), fresh of a gold medal performance at the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games, accepted the donated from Jazz Poirier, State Deputy PEI Knights of Columbus.
