Special Olympics PEI, on behalf of Special Olympics Canada, are still in need of more volunteers to assist with Healthy Athletes during the 2018 National Bowling Championships in PEI.
These screenings are being offered to athletes participating at the games from across Canada in Summerside (May 16th, 2018) and in Charlottetown (May 17th, 2018) in between their competition schedules.
We are in need of clinical and public health professionals skilled in helping individuals learn and practice healthy behaviors. Experience in healthcare, students studying in the field, or keen volunteers are welcomed to join; there are volunteer roles during this impactful event for everyone! Experience in physical health, eye care, or mental health is an asset.
Special Olympics is able to provide lunch/snacks and gas/mileage for people traveling from outside the event location areas.
