Highlights from Day 2 – July 27, 2015

  • Special Olympics Canada claimed its first-ever World Games bocce medal. This is the first time Team Canada has competed in the event at the world level.
  • Special Olympics Team Canada Level 2 & 3 rhythmic gymnasts won seven medals with their incredible performances in hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.
  • Special Olympics Team Canada swimmers brought home five medals and achieved four personal-best times in the 100-metre freestyle finals. In the 4×100 medley relay Team Canada won gold with a time two minutes faster than the silver-medal winners,
