The women’s 100 metre relay team won gold last night at the OAKA Olympic Aquatic Centre. The team includes Erica Buehlow from Brighton, Ontario, Justine Morrier of Ste-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Robin Crandall from Niagara, Ontario and Meagan Michie of Metcalfe, Ontario.

It is the second gold for both Buehlow and Michie, and a first for Crandall and Morrier.

Buelhow has been with Special Olympics for five years, Michie for 12, Crandall for six years and Morrier for nine years. At only 15 years of age, Morrier is one of our two youngest athletes on the national team.

In other news, Alex Buehlow had a silver medal finish in the 1500m freestyle, division M2, with a time of 2:20:38s. He won gold in the 200m individual medley on Monday.

The men’s 100 metre relay team of Drew Sabourin, Alex Buehlow, Michael Qing and Michael Heath received a participation ribbon for their efforts.
