Be a fan Day: October 25, 2012

This October 25, lace up with Special Olympics Canada’s red shoe laces, and show us you are a fan!

October 25, 2012 is Be a fan Day, a national day to celebrate the athletes, coaches, and volunteers working with more than 35,000 children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities are registered in Special Olympics programs across Canada.

We are also celebrating a 25-partnership with our fans in Canada’s law enforcement community who raise money for Special Olympics every year by participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run. There will be events in cities and towns nationwide – check your local listings for details.

Showing your support is easy. Donate $5 to Special Olympics, and we will send you red shoe laces. Then, on October 25, lace up your shoes with the laces. (It would be great if you can take a picture and post it to Twitter with the hashtag #BeAFan!)
