Calling Special Olympics athletes ages six to 10 years in the GTA

Children with Down syndrome between the ages of six and 10 years are invited to participate in a physical activity and motor skill study that is being led by researcher Dr. Meghann Lloyd at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). UOIT has partnered with Special Olympics Canada to learn which factors influence participation by children in physical activity and how they feel about physical activity.

Calling Special Olympics coaches to participate in research project

We’re looking to recruit Special Olympics coaches across the country to participate in a research project led by Dr. Dany MacDonald. The assistant professor at University of PEI’s Department of Applied Human Sciences has partnered with Special Olympics Canada to look at the optimal modes of learning, highlight opportunities for professional development and collect feedback on our current NCCP structure and course material.
