Provide a positive experience

The current model adapted by Special Olympics Canada, as well as a large number of other sport organizations in Canada, has been developed to ensure every coach receives appropriate training that is beneficial to all those involved. With this model, you will learn to coach our athletes while developing a positive experience through sport.

The New NCCP Model

The new NCCP model is made up of three streams and a total of eight contexts, each with its own coaching requirements. Each sport is responsible for identifying how many of the eight contexts are relevant to their field. The table below shows which contexts have been identified by Special Olympics Canada:
