Special Olympics Alberta is hosts a once a year event you can't miss!
This year, Special Olympics Alberta combined two amazing events in one weekend, our Affiliate Development Conference and Athlete Leadership Conference from April 21 to April 22 at Quality Inn & Conference Centre in Red Deer.
Affiliate Development Conference
This Conference is a great opportunity for our community members to come together and learn about different topics affecting Special Olympics. Not only that, you will get the chance to network and share ideas with volunteers from all over the province.

Athlete Leadership Conference
Athletes come together to engage in their own sessions that will build on their leadership skills, allowing them to take what they’ve learned back to their affiliate. Topics will include governance, nutrition, among others.Separate from the Athlete Leadership Conference, an Athlete Speakers Bureau Course will be offered. Athletes will be provided the opportunity to develop public speaking and speech writing skills.
