Cycle for a Cause-Lethbridge

Come support your law enforcement officers as they cycle for a day to raise funds for Special Olympics!

Officers from several local agencies will take part in a relay type race.  Officers will take turns riding for a cause to make sure sport programs are available to individuals with intellectual disabilities.  We are thrilled to be selected as the charity of choice for the 12th Annual Spring Gift Expo.

Rider Responsibilities:

  • Each team to collect a minimum of $500.00
  • Team Captain to register team and members of the team
  • Team Captain to collect money from members of the team
  • Team Captain is responsible to ensure a member of their team is on the bike at all times and members of that team may switch whenever they choose

This event will have multiple teams of Lethbridge Police Officers, Lethbridge Correctional Services and Alberta Sheriffs. The teams will consist of however many members that team agrees upon, up to a maximum of 8, with the expectation that there will be a member on the bike from when the exhibition opens till when it closes. The Team Captain will determine how many members they choose to have on their team and how long each member will ride.

Bikes will be set up for Special Olympics athletes to take turns riding along side of the officers.

Special Olympics athletes and volunteers will be out cycling, pumping up cyclists and collecting donations.
